This painting came about as I have been mulling over what to paint for the nursery for baby #3. I wanted to convey the felt presence and peace of Light, and so much of cathedral architecture is designed around the space’s interactions with light. I’m still unsure if this is the direction I will go for the larger painting, but it was a welcome departure from my typical subject matter.
